Private projects: choose who sees a project

Keep a project to yourself or to a few people in the workspace.

By default, everyone in the workspace (owners, admins and members) sees and edits every project. To limit a project to some people:

  1. Open the project and click its name → Edit project (admins only).
  2. Under Who can see this project, choose Only the people I choose.
  3. Tick the people who should have access. You're always included.
  4. Click Save.

The project disappears from everyone else's sidebar, search, My tasks, Activity and Reports, admins included. A lock appears next to its name for the people who can see it. Only people with access can be assigned or mentioned in its tasks, and anyone who loses access stops following its tasks and getting its notifications.

To share it with everyone again, choose Everyone in your workspace.

Guests are separate: they only ever see the projects you pick for them in Team.

Private projects are included on every plan, Free included.
