Reports
How work moves across your projects, for any period, with CSV and a weekly email.
Reports is in the sidebar, under Activity. It's included on every plan, Free included, and everyone in the workspace can open it. Guests only see the projects they have access to.
1. Choose what to look at
- Projects: all of them, or tick the ones you want.
- Period: last 7, 30 or 90 days, this quarter, this year, or Custom dates.
2. The numbers
- Created, Completed, Open now, Overdue now and Time to complete (median, from creation to done).
- Created and completed are compared with the previous period of the same length.
3. The charts
- Created vs completed, per day (periods up to 5 weeks) or per week. If created keeps beating completed, the backlog is growing.
- Cumulative flow: how many tasks were in each column over time. Columns with the same name in different projects are added together, and done columns show as one band. A band that keeps getting wider is where work piles up.
4. Breakdown Group the period by Person, Type, Label, Client, Priority, Section, Project or Column and see, for each one, how many tasks were created and completed, how many are open and overdue now, and the median time to complete. A task with several labels counts once in each label.
5. Export and weekly email
- CSV next to the breakdown exports that table. Export tasks (CSV) exports every task created or completed in the period, with its fields.
- Turn on Weekly report by email to get last week's numbers for each workspace you're in, every Monday at 8:00. It's only for you; you can also turn it on for Slack in the notifications grid.
Subtasks aren't counted, so the numbers reflect the main tasks on your boards. Archived tasks are included, so history stays complete. The cumulative flow starts from when column history began to be recorded; older tasks that haven't moved since then don't appear in it.
